Nadia Murad, activist and Nobel Peace Prize 2018 is in Bolivia to participate in the International Peace Forum on Friday and Saturday in the city of Sucre.
“It is an honor to participate in the Peace Forum and to continue working for women’s rights and also to seek better conditions for women, ” said the Iraqi activist after holding a meeting with Foreign Minister.
Murad was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her message of survival and struggle, after being kidnapped and made a sex slave by the terrorists of the Islamic State.
The International Peace Forum will open on Friday with the Walk for Peace, in which Murad will give her message to the participants. Later, she will give a keynote lecture. The event will focus on three thematic axes: Urban violence and gender; Migration; Employment and culture for peace.
