The VOE team and the director in charge of migration and Asylum discussed about the concerns of immigration and integration process of Ezidi families who arrived in France and testimonies from Ezidi refugees that they visited around France.
On the 4th December,Â the Voice of Ezidis team was formally invited by the Director of Asylum for a meeting in the MinistÃ¨re de l’IntÃ©rieurÂ in France, the team discussed about the concerns of the immigration and integration process to OFPRA (Office FranÃ§ais de Protection des RÃ©fugiÃ©s et des Apatrides).
The team expressed its willingness to cooperate in order to improve the situation of the Ezidi families, according to the VOE website the following topics were discussed in the meeting:
-Bringing a more efficient psychological support to the survivors who arrived in France, through a cooperation between the MinistÃ¨re and Voice of Ezidis with an establish channel of communication.
– Create social bounds to facilitate the integration of refugees : promoting cultural exchanges between French, Ezidis and other refugee and migrant communities.
– Organizing seminars for social workers to sensitize them on the case of Ezidi refugees and the best practices to create a safe space for all.
The Voice of Ezidis was officially established in 2019, however VOE has acted in aid and support of the Ezidi displaced community in Iraq through the individual action of the president and its members since 2014, supporting Ezidi women, who survived ISIS violence, opening youth center, health and integration programs in France are main projects that have been focused by VOE.
