Baghdad is receiving Yazidi survivors for the first time in a rehabilitation program

Today The capital Baghdad on 28th of September 2021, receives the first part of Yazidi survivors freed from ISIS as part of a treatment project involving 10 women who exposed sexual and physical abuse during their abduction in August 2014.

The project consists of women with restricted access and requiring care from physicians, a private source told Ezidi 24 .

The first portion also covers the district of Sinjar and its complexes and villages and the last part of camps and displaced persons will be chosen in region of Kurdistan.

The government will give 500,000 dinars to each survivor,” he said. adding that “the duration of treatment will last from five to seven days.”

The NGO Department in the General Secretariat of Council of Ministers in Baghdad, led by Mohammed Taher al-Tamimi, Director General of Department of NGOs is funding the project.
