Four deaths and four injuries due to a fire in an internally displaced camp for Yazidis.

On Wednesday morning, Febriuary 17, 2021, at 2am, a fire broke out in the Bersfi 2 camp for the displaced Yazidis resulting in the death of four displaced persons in addition to four injuried.
A 31-year-old Yazidi displaced person died in the Bersfi 2 camp which is located in Zakho district of Duhok province. The camp has been inhabited by hundreds of Yazidi families since the Yazidi genocide by the ISIS terrorist organization in 2014.The fire led to the death of a Yazidi displced person while he was attempting to save the lives of his two children (his ten-year-old son and eleven-year-old daughter). The three of them died together. Moreover, another person lost his life as a result of complications in his wounds a few hours after taking him to the hospital. Additionally, four other Yazidis are still hospitalized.
